Ministerial List: How Buhari Was Betrayed By His Chief of Staff

DESPITE the high level secrecy with which President Muhammadu Buhari would have wanted to treat the list of ministerial nominees, he was betrayed by his Chief of Staff, Alhaji Abba Kyari.
SGR can reveal that Kyari personally called his friends in the media, including Sahara Reporters and disclosed details of the ministerial list to them.
A source in the Presidency who is unhappy with the shoddy manner the nomination of the ministers is being handled, particularly the leak of names to the media, made these
disclosures to SGR .
Recall that President Buhari on Wednesday evening forwarded the list to Senate President, Bukola Saraki through Kyari.
It was reported that Kyari was accompanied by Buhari’s Senior Special Assistant (SSA) on National Assembly Matters, Senator Ita
Enang, to submit the list in a sealed brown
envelope.
This medium also reported that the president had side-tracked Enang and handed the list to Kyari believing he could be trusted to be more discreet than Enang.
Enang stood looking confused and embarrassed as Kyari handed the list over to Saraki hours after the Senate had gone on recess.
A source in the Presidency told SGR  that the president’s decision to bypass Senator Enang was hinged on the premise that he might leak the list to the media having had a long standing relationship with them.
